Wolves 5
Under 19's 2

Ross Campbell (2)

A totally unacceptable performance from the boys, saw a two goal lead turn into a 5-2 defeat.

The boys flew out the traps at a high flying wolves side who remain unbeaten at the top of the league, scoring two goals through Ross Campbell who was causing all sorts of problems for wolves with his pace. Having established the lead the team decided to showboat and make solo runs missing out team mates who had moved into positions to recieve passes, this proved costly as wolves picked up on the holes that this left and started to apply pressure.

The back four decided on mass to commit football suicide diving into tackles and failing to clear there lines under pressure.

A stupidly given away freekick saw wolves get a foothold in the game with a shot that should have been handled better by David, again poor defending saw wolves get behind the team on two further occasions and take a 3-2 lead into half time.

The boys were unlucky in the first half to have a Ross Campbell goal chopped off as the ref never saw it cross the line and then to our suprise give the follow up offside, a further goal from Jordan Carlin was also ruled out when it appeared no one was again offside.

Almost constant pressure from the team in the second half saw wolves pinned back, an equaliser looked likely until more shocking defending saw possession given to wolves on two occasions to score a further twice.

Fresh legs in Derek Mccoll, Momo and Garry Hood saw further chances created with all coming close to pulling the game back.

But as previously stated an unacceptable TEAM performance with people looking to apportion blame to others when they must take responsibility for their own performance.
