Blantyre turned in a good performance against a sub standard St Mirren side. With barely a minute gone a mix up between Danny and Chrissy in defence could have cost us dear but luckily enough the ball went pass the post, most of the chances falling to Ross, we took the lead midway through the first half with good play from Dom to send Ross through on goal, which he cooly slotted in the bottom corner. On a sad note a collision between Kirk and the St Mirren midfielder ended with a broken ancle for Kirk which means he will be out for 2 months, the second half continued in the same fashion with a couple of chances falling to Fra who was unlucky with his efforts, finally the second goal arrived with 10 mins remaining superb header from Ross sealed the match all be it St Mirren scored a consolation goal at the death, on a whole it was a good team effort with Kevin Stepney having his best game of the season.
