First game of the season saw the Vics travel to Whitburn for this friendly match on Saturday 21st July 2007. It was a new look side that took the field with debuts for new signings, John Fisher, Kevin Coyle,Ryan McCardle and Mark McKay.

Whitburn fielded a strong team but we created a few chances and Rab Welsh and Mark McKay both had opportunity's. Whitburn took the lead just before half time when a long range shot came back off the bar and was forced home.


At half time we made several changes and there where debuts for Robert McNeil, Robert Kerr, Colin Boylin, Dougie McGregor, Paul Ross and Barry McKenzie, Gary Collins also made an appearance from the bench.

The second half performance was encouraging and although we didnt score we played very well.
