A blood and guts display today from the whole squad to beat the league leaders.

Drumchapel started strongly and could have been 2 up in the first 10 mins, but we gradually came into the game and began to ask serious questions of thier back four, Drumchapel broke away on thier right to score from the corner of our box with our left side badly exposed. Changes were made to ensure this was put right and we settled down again and started to grind down Drumchapel, and equalised just before the break with a well struck free kick by Scott Smith.

The second half was fiercely contested by both sides and it looked like it would finish at 1-1, until Declan McGill latched onto the ball about 20 yards out to hit a great shot into the net to win the points for Blantyre.

A great all round performance and we can take great heart from todays result as the first team to defeat an excellent Drumchapel team who were strong all over the park and competed for every ball from the 1st minute to the last.
